AAPL & GOOG vs. The World

AAPL vs. The World

March 30, 2012 (AAPLTrader) Technology stocks have
slipped into the red Friday morning.

Chip stocks and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) shares declined
as well offsetting gains in shares of Research In Motion Ltd.
(NASDAQ: RIMM).

Many investors wonder if RIMM will have a comeback,
I personally don’t think RIMM has a chance.

Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) does not pay a dividend and probably never will.
Apple Inc. on the other hand will be paying their first dividend since 1995.
Apple’s Dividend will start in the September Quarter. Further Apple
is planning a 10 billion dollar stock buy back over a three year period.

Nokia Corporation (NASDAQ: NOK), the world’s largest mobile phone maker,
said Friday it was joining forces with US giant Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) in a major corporate strategy shake-up, which left Apple Inc. investors disappointed.

The Finnish phone maker said Microsoft’s Windows Phone would now serve as its primary smartphone platform
in a ‘broad strategic partnership’ destined to regain market share from competitors, Apple and Google.

The question is: Does Nokia and Microsoft really have any chance of competing with Apple and Google? I think not!

    Apple’s “first dividend” since 1995…

  • The Lumia 900 is quite nice, but it isn’t out in the States yet. I personally prefer it over all the android phones I have tried, but not the iPhone. I really think they have a decent shot at edging out most of the HTC, Samsung, and Motorola handsets because the Lumia 900 handset is a much nicer piece of hardware and the new windows OS is nicer than most Android OEMs. They went for “fresh” where Apple went for “sleek” and it works; the phones have their own feel and I think it just “clicks” better than the android OS offerings.
